As a part of our continuing effort to enhance our customers’ overall experience and our continued effort to improve our service, Guidance will change the company we contract with to service our Sharia-compliant contracts.

As you are aware, Guidance hires Dovenmuehle Mortgage, Inc. (DMI) as a third party to handle the administrative duties; such as your monthly payments for our Sharia-compliant contract. This service is provided as an agent on our behalf, and in full compliance with the terms and spirit of our contracts. Starting November 16th 2011, we will use the services of US Bank (USB) as our servicing agent.

To insure that you are properly notified, DMI and USB will both be notifying you of the change and USB will be sending you a new December billing statement.

It is important to note that we are using the Servicing Division of USB to simply carry out the administrative duties in accordance with the Sharia-compliant contract that Guidance and you are a party to.

As our agent, USB will not be a party to our contract with you, and will be carrying out the administrative duties through a Servicing Division that provides this type of service to companies like us. As our agent, they will carry out these administrative duties under our supervision, and in a Sharia sensitive manner.

Please continue to make your monthly payments payable to Guidance Residential.

  1. Does this servicing change affect the terms of my Sharia-compliant home financing agreement with Guidance?

    Answer: No, the terms of your Co-ownership Agreement stay the same and in fact, nothing about your Sharia-compliant home financing arrangement with Guidance changes.

  2. Does this mean I will have to make my check payable to USB from now on?

    Answer: No, you will continue to make your payments payable to Guidance Residential

  3. If I have set up my monthly payment through an automatic withdrawal from my bank account, will I need to do anything to change this?

    Answer: No, you will not need to do a thing as this will be rerouted to our new address.

  4. When will this take effect and where do I send my next payment?

    Answer: This change will take effect on November 16th so your December payment which will be due on December 1st will need to be sent to the following address:
