Press Release

Reston, VA, August 19, 2019 - Guidance Residential's Vice President Suha Beidas Zehl was named one of the most powerful women in Fintech for 2019.

PROGRESS in Lending Association announced its top 30 most powerful women reshaping financial services July 30, saying that it chose leaders who are reshaping the way we think to offer quick, convenient and reliable service. The announcement stated, "These women are not just influencers, they are leading the way."

Ms. Zehl is Executive Vice President of Technology Services and Chief Information Officer for Guidance Residential.

During her 15 years with Guidance, the company has grown exponentially in size and production, becoming the nation's leading faith-based Islamic home finance provider. Ms. Zehl led Guidance in replacing a once obsolete and manual process with a streamlined user-centric experience.

"I am so honored to be recognized by PROGRESS in Lending Association as one of the 30 Most Powerful Women in FinTech for 2019," Ms. Zehl said. "To be named alongside such trailblazers as Christine Beckwith, Molly Dowdy, Jeri Yoshida, Suzy Lindblom, Lisa Schreiber, Leora Ruzin, Sue Woodard and all the other amazing and inspiring women is truly a high compliment." Ms. Zehl said her goal is to further Guidance's mission of helping customers finance their homes and achieve the American dream of home ownership without compromising their faith or values.

"We view technology as an accelerator that helps us innovate and create opportunities where none exist," she said. "Our goal is to empower and inspire our customers and our associates, and we are doing that by changing how we do business. "Working alongside each member of our entire Guidance Residential family, led by Kal Elsayed our CEO, truly inspires me; we have earned this award together and I am humbled to accept it on behalf of our entire organization."
