Mufti Qasim Abdullah
Imam & Resident Scholar, American Muslim Center
Mufti Qasim, a Detroit native, memorized the Qur’an at age 11 and completed the Alim course under Shaykh al-Hadith Qari Muhammad Ilyas. He holds degrees in Mathematics, Philosophy, and a Master’s in Finance from Michigan State University. After advanced Islamic legal training (iftaa) at Darul Uloom Karachi under Mufti Rafi Usmani and Mufti Taqi Usmani, he authored a thesis on contemporary investments and Islamic rulings. He now serves as Imam of AMC, Co-Head of Darul Ifta Masjid Madinatul Ilm, and Shariah Advisor to financial institutions in the West and Middle East.
