Harvard 2022

Guidance Residential collaborated with Harvard University Islamic Society for an informative and interactive session on Islamic Home Financing. In Sever Hall, Guidance Residential's President & CEO, Kal Elsayed discussed the role of Islamic finance from a social impact point of view and why Islamic finance matters today more than ever. Guidance Residential is looking forward to strengthening its relationship with students belonging to MSA's across the nation through educational sessions, sponsorships, and providing career and community-building opportunities for students.

Understanding Riba and the Emergence of the Islamic Finance Alternative Webinar with Sheikh Hamza Yusuf

Guidance Residential was honored to have Shiekh Hamza Yusuf as a speaker at an exclusive live digital discussion on September 28, 2021. Guidance team members were on-site with Sheikh Yusuf at Zaytuna College in Berkeley, California to discuss the exciting restructuring of Islamic home financing in the US to ensure a permissible path for Muslim Americans to finance homes.

Imams and students of Islamic knowledge gathered from across the country to delve into topics including home buying at the Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America's 17th Annual Imams Conference in Houston, Texas. Our CEO and our SVP had the pleasure of presenting The Deep Foundation of Discipline of Economics.

MASCON 2021

Guidance Residential was proud to be a Diamond Sponsor at MASCON 2021 in Chicago. Islamic Council of North America (ICNA) is a leading organization in the Muslim American community that holds a national conference every year. Guidance was proud to receive the Community Service Award at the conference for our excellence, devotion, and outstanding service in community effort.

Halal Expo and Summit

Vice President of the Mid-Atlantic Region and our Account Executive had the pleasure of accepting Best Innovative Halal Service Award at the 2019 Halal Expo and Summit Conference in Virginia on behalf of Guidance Residential. The Expo showcased companies and services the community benefits from and was a wonderful engagement opportunity.

HousingWire Engage Marketing Conference

Industry leaders met at the 2nd Annual HW Engage Marketing Conference to build brands, identify best practices, and find out what it takes to build a successful marketing strategy this day and age. Our VP of Marketing, also member of 2019 HW Engage Advisory Board, spoke on a niche markets and how Guidance continues to serve and work for communities interested in homeownership without compromising their faith.

16th Annual AMJA Conference

Guidance Residential received warm endorsements from numerous community leaders at an imams' conference focusing on contemporary financial issues in Houston. Imams and students of Islamic knowledge gathered from across the country to delve into topics including home buying at the Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America's 16th Annual Imams Conference. The conference explored real estate-related questions such as taking out government loans to buy a home and buying short-sales and bank-owned homes. Guidance Residential was a silver sponsor of the conference.

HUMA Islamic Finance Conference 2018

Our Regional Team and CEO were invited to present at the Annual HUMA Islamic Finance Conference at Harvard University. Academics and experts from the Islamic Finance industry explored the role of Islamic finance from a social impact point of view and showcased Guidance Residential and our positive impact on a wide variety of community stakeholders.

54th Annual ISNA Convention

Guidance Residential sponsored the 54th Annual ISNA Convention. The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) works to foster the development of the Muslim community, interfaith relations, civic engagement, and better understanding of Islam. The convention was held June 30, 2017 - July 3, 2017.
